Construction Minister Reinhold Jost, Science Minister Jakob von Weizsäcker and University President Manfred Schmitt, together with the deans of the natural sciences, technology and medical faculties, Ludger Santen and Michael Menger, respectively, laid the foundation stone for the new research building of the Center for Biophysics. Completion is scheduled for 2025. Then up to 200 scientists will work next door to each other in close exchange on a usable area of ​​around 4,000 m².
