Cellular Reorganization upon State Transitions

This project aims at identifying the molecular processes that control cellular fate transitions such as blood cell differentiation. We will focus on the roles of alternative splicing and of epigenetic effects such as DNA methylation and histone modifications during cell differentiation. Molecular modeling is used to characterize protein:DNA and protein:protein complexes studied in C1 and in C4/C7. Combinatorial algorithms together with data integration are employed to construct gene-regulatory networks and condition-specific protein-protein interaction networks for CTL subtypes studied in A2.
